By opening an account with ALTARA CREDIT (powered by ALTARA CREDIT LIMITED), you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined here. You also confirm that the information provided to us for account creation is accurate and complete, and that all required documents, photos, and other information have been submitted to meet regulatory standards.

If you do not agree to the terms outlined in this document, you must immediately discontinue using the application. Please note that we reserve the right to terminate our relationship with you if we find that any terms have been violated.

- Eligibility: 18 years and older
- Loan Amount: 700 to 100,000
- Loan Term: 91 days to 365 days
- Interest Rate: Maximum APR of 32%(12-32%)

- Service Fee: 1.8% - 7%

Example:

If you take a loan of 10,000 for a term of 182 days, with a daily interest rate of 0.07%, here’s how the repayment works:
- Total Interest: 10,000 * 0.07% * 182 = 1,274
- Monthly Interest: 10,000 * 0.07% * 31 = 217
- Monthly Repayment (including interest): 10,000 / 6 + 217 = 1,883.67
- Total Repayment: 1,883.67 * 6 = 11,302.02
- APR: 26.04%

Relationship Objective

By using ALTARA CREDIT, you gain access to manage your account easily through the ALTARA CREDIT Mobile app. To open an account, you will need a smartphone with a valid phone number.

When Do These Terms Apply?

These terms apply when you choose to open an account with ALTARA CREDIT. Once we create an account number for you, or if you choose your own, these terms become effective. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and any changes will be communicated to you. You can always access the latest version of the terms on our website or app.

By accessing or using ALTARA CREDIT's online services ("Services"), you agree to these terms and conditions ("Terms").

Eligibility

By using ALTARA CREDIT, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement and have not been previously banned from using ALTARA CREDIT. You further confirm that you have the capacity to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

You agree not to provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information with the intent to impersonate others, misrepresent your identity, age, or your association with any person or organization.

By using ALTARA CREDIT, you affirm that you are in compliance with all third-party agreements (such as those with mobile phone providers or banks) related to digital banking.

Account Registration

To access our services, you must first create an account by providing your full name, date of birth, residential address, and a valid mobile number registered with any telecommunications company in Nigeria. You may be asked to provide additional information during the registration process. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and kept up-to-date.

Please note that neither we nor any of our partners will ever contact you asking for your PIN or other security credentials related to your ALTARA CREDIT account. If you receive any such request, please report it to us immediately.

Transaction

We are not responsible or liable for any products or services purchased through our platform. These may include, but are not limited to:

- Funding your account via cash deposits at selected partner banks

- Airtime recharges

- Data top-ups

- Bill payments

- Funds transfers to other accounts

- To ensure the security of your transactions, we will periodically verify your identity. You must pass these verifications to continue using our services.

Your account will be subject to certain transaction and daily limits, as determined by us. If needed, you can contact our customer support team to request changes to these limits, based on the specifics of your account.

Please note that we reserve the right to remove or modify any of the services mentioned above at any time without prior notice. We also may add new services at our discretion.

Notification

By opening an account with us, you authorize us to send you notifications via SMS, email, and push alerts. We are not responsible if these notifications are seen by others and if any resulting losses or damages occur.

Additionally, you agree to receive notifications from us instead of the mandatory SMS alerts issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria. If any losses, damages, claims, or expenses arise from these notifications, you agree to accept responsibility.

Security and unauthorized use

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect any unauthorized access, you agree to notify ALTARA CREDIT immediately.

To protect your account, ensure your device has appropriate security measures in place. Never share your security details with anyone. If you believe your login credentials have been compromised, change them immediately. If needed, contact us to suspend or block your account, and we will act promptly.

However, you acknowledge that you will be responsible for any transactions that occur on your account before it is blocked, and we will not be liable for any losses incurred due to compromised login details before the account is suspended.

Device Security

Ensure that your device is properly secured at all times. Never share your login credentials with anyone. If you suspect that your security details have been compromised, change your credentials immediately. If necessary, contact us to suspend or block your account, and we will take prompt action to secure it.

Please note, however, that you are responsible for all transactions that occur on your account prior to it being blocked. ALTARA CREDIT will not be liable for any losses caused by compromised login details or any transactions that occur before your account is suspended as requested.

KYC Requirement

By agreeing to open an account with ALTARA CREDIT, you consent to us requesting additional information or documents from you, as well as access to your business area when necessary. If you are unable or unwilling to provide the required information or documents, ALTARA CREDIT reserves the right to deactivate your account at our discretion. Additionally, if you provide inaccurate, incomplete, or false information, ALTARA CREDIT may suspend or deactivate your account.

Bank Verification Number (BVN) Operations and Watch-List for the Nigerian Banking Industry

By opening an account with ALTARA CREDIT, you consent to us implementing necessary restrictions on your account, as well as reporting any fraudulent activities related to your account to relevant law enforcement agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and the Nigerian Police Force.

Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

ALTARA CREDIT, its third-party content providers, and agents do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not make any warranties regarding the results of using our services or the accuracy of the content provided. The service and its content are provided "as is," without any express or implied warranties. Neither ALTARA CREDIT nor its third-party content providers guarantee that files available for download through the service will be free of viruses or harmful components.

You accept full responsibility for the quality, performance, and risks associated with the service, as well as the accuracy and completeness of the content. ALTARA CREDIT, its third-party content providers, and agents will not be liable for any damages arising from your use or inability to use the service.

Declaration

By proceeding, you confirm that you are opening an account with ALTARA CREDIT using the information you’ve provided and agree to our terms and conditions. You also certify that the information you have provided is accurate and complete. By opening your account, you authorize ALTARA CREDIT to carry out regular identity and anti-fraud checks. Additionally, you agree to indemnify us for any losses resulting from incorrect or false information provided by you.
